EverTrue Senior Living at Mason Pointe
EverTrue at Mason Pointe embarked on a redevelopment campaign to increase the amount of assisted living options and amenities available at their Senior Living Community while simultaneously decreasing the amount of licensed skilled beds on site.
The goal of the project was to convert the original skilled nursing beds into new assisted living apartments. The old neighborhood hubs were redesigned as new assisted living amenity spaces. Each hub was designed as a destination point for multiple activities such as assembly, dining, entertainment, and wellness, all programmed to bring the residential communities together.
The Wellness Lounge is the center of the wellness hub, formerly one of 6 underutilized fireplace parlors. This area has been repurposed to be inviting and invigorating. It is the gathering area for all the different activities associated with wellness. This includes the wellness gym, the wellness lounge with amenities such as a convenient self-service juice bar, and a single-station salon downsized for one-on-one conversation.
The entire wellness area was designed with an overall goal of brightness and modernity in mind, incorporating biophilic design through wood finishes, water features, and soft neutrals with different hues of blue and green throughout the space. These touches complement the more nature-forward elements of the space, such as the planter boxes with faux plants and translucent green leaf panels, and living wall art.
The other communal spaces that were incorporated into the project are a sophisticated bar and fireplace lounge that boasts custom black metal panels with the MP for Mason Point in gold and upscale lighting, a theater, a large dining hall with indoor and outdoor seating, an art studio, a multi-purpose room with a wood panel feature wall and an adjacent coffee café. Another biophilic design standout is the puzzle room with a woodland mural surrounding the space and other wood-like features and green colors. Each of the assisted living wings also has dedicated dining and lounge spaces.
