New Balance is a visionary company that believes health is related to movement: physically, emotionally and intellectually. The E-Commerce division includes offices, a call center, photography studio, creative department, marketing, merchandising, IT, finance, HR, and conference center with lunchroom, break areas, exercise/playroom and yoga studio. Scope of services included a 5-10-year growth planning study, sustainable design and services to expedite permitting. At the design development building cost analysis phase, an in-depth understanding of the subcontractors’ costs enabled LNB to recommend adjustments without compromising the concept or budget.

LNB generated an award-winning, dynamic and inspirational atmosphere to support passionate people that innovate products with strong results. LNB used purposeful design that emphasized branding throughout to influence mood: space planning for movement and flexibility, access to natural daylight, conceptualized fun and symbolized athletic elements and materials representative of the company’s products are merged into the workspace. Incorporating the company's “three points of balance,” light fixtures hanging from shoelaces, and lightweight mesh materials represent the lightweight shoe materials. Collaboration areas emphasize the mood of each of their five brands.

“Laura, I wanted to let you know how inspired I was by you and your team’s thoughtful approach to the design. It was clear you listened to our heart/ passion/purpose and looked for ways to create an environment that expresses us. The picture you painted about what our campus could be, was inspired and inspiring, an amazing interpretation of the type of environment we are looking for.”
