Relocating from an old, inefficient facility, Central States Bus Sales selected LNB Studio to provide architecture and interior design services for their new headquarters building. The one-story facility contains areas for offices, conference rooms, customer service, employee locker rooms, break room, parts warehouse and tool room and a large service bay area with 12 general service bays, two CNG service bays, paint booth and a bus wash bay.

The goal was to create a cost-efficient custom-designed metal building that maximized exterior and interior workflow for customers and employees. The central open office area provides flexibility for employee workstation needs. The perimeter of the office area provides support functions and private offices. Walk-in customers have monitored access to parts service points of sale that have direct access to the parts warehouse for efficient retrieval. The warehouse was designed for high shelving. The rear wing for bus service contains bays that are paired in groups of two in a tandem arrangement to maximize spatial efficiency and workflow from bay entrance to exit. Skylights provide natural daylighting into service areas to minimize the need for powering light fixtures during the day.

“The strongest asset of this firm is personal touch and attention to details. LNB Scored a 5 out of 5 for level of client satisfaction, quality of construction observed by the firm, responsiveness to client needs and completion of work on a timely manner. Additionally, budget considerations were kept within focus by the firm and the communication was open and concise throughout the project.”
