Allegro Harrington Park
(Karen Smith was the lead designer and project manager while employed at Direction In Design and worked with the procurement and installation team at RDG Planning & Design)
Using ample natural light, strong indoor/outdoor connections with 360-degree vistas, and curated artwork throughout, the design offers a resort-like atmosphere that feels intimate and inviting. Visibility between spaces promotes socialization and connection to the environment, while openness encourages room usage and activity, creating vibrant energy within the community.
A synergistic and collaborative process between both disciplines of architecture and interior design culminates in an experience that feels both cohesive and comfortable from exterior to interior. The community offers a wealth of amenities and features intended to foster socialization and engagement. Examples include indoor/outdoor dining areas, a greenhouse, an art gallery to display resident art, a bistro/bar with outdoor dining, a fitness center, a theatre, an indoor heated saltwater pool, a pool bar, an outdoor kitchen, and an outdoor lounge with a fire pit.
The project included Independent and Assisted Living as well as Memory Care. The upscale and spacious residential suites all have screened-in balconies. The types of units include studios, one-bedrooms, two-bedrooms, and an ultra-luxury penthouse apartment.
